disclaimer: A Clockwork Pumpkin has nothing to do with Kubrick's film, just with a pumpkin and a clock. And an impending murder...
ACP is a text parser narrative game built with Inform 7. It playfully examines the history of pumpkin carving traditions as they appear in Irish and North-American folklore through a dialogue between two characters resembling both the Stingy Jack and Will of the Whisps stories, as well as the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. In it, the player must make careful dialogue choices as to not to get killed by the NPCs. At the same time the narrative deals with multiple layers of domestic violence, in which oppressors become the oppressed and vice versa, depending on how one wants to read the situation. The story is meant to be played through several times as it is practically impossible to succeed at one glance--resembling the fate that befalls most pumpkins, but also to reinforce the aforementioned idea of perspective shifting.
